Owner
He is the owner of Johnson Gymnastics which he opened in June 1963. He has a B.A. degree from Baldwin Wallace University majoring in Business and a minor in Physical Education.
Gym / Recreational/Team Director/Competitive Team Coach
Gym / Recreational/Team Director/Competitive Team Coach for Johnson Gymnastics. Cheryll started her gymnastic career at the age of 13 where she moved up to competitive gymnast in the 80’s for Johnson’s. By the age of 18 she became one of the staff members. In addition to coaching TOPs and HOPES, Cheryll has become the Gym Manager and Head Coach to the Johnson Gymnastic Team. A mother of two, her daughter has grown up in the gym where she has been a competitive dancer since the age of 6. Cheryll is a certified meet Director, USA gymnastics member, Level 8 rated Judge and is Safety Certified through USA Gymnastics.
Preschool Director and Recreational instructor
A Former gymnast herself for Warrensville Hts. Gymnastics. She became a coach for Warrensville from 1987-2000. Assistant coach for the tumbling tigers from 2000-2007 and is a National Power Tumbling coach. She loves working with our young gymnasts, helping them to reach their goals.
Office Manager
Shayla is the office manager. She is also a freelance theater professional. She enjoys working in the office and getting to know all the families at Johnson Gymnastics!
Team Secretary
A Recreational mom to a team mom, Amanda has now joined the Johnson Staff as our Team Secretary.
Gymnastics Instructor
Michelle is an Instructor for Preschool, Recreational Gymnastics and CheerMasters. Michelle’s gymnastic career started at the age of 12. A former competitive gymnast for Johnson’s, sister and team mate of Cheryll, she returned after getting her HR degree from Akron University.
Competitive Team Coach
Competitive Team Coach for Johnson Gymnastics. Donna started gymnastics in 1992 when she was 8 years old, and loved everything about it. She attended Thome Ohio Gymnastics for level 5 and level 6 and then Classic Gymnastics Academy where she competed from level 6 through level 9. When gymnastics ended for her, she began looking to teach all that she had learned.
Gymnastic Instructor – Jr Staff
Olivia is 17 years old. She is a junior at Nordonia high school where she is also a varsity cheerleader. She’s been at Johnson Gymnastics since she was 4 years old. It’s been about 12 years and she is currently an Xcel Diamond. Her hobbies are singing, decorating and doing her nails. She loves teaching little kids and big kids. She wants to help them love gymnastics as much as she does!
Gymnastic Instructor – Jr Staff
Liana is a junior coach at Johnson Gymnastics, and this is her second year coaching recreational and preschool classes. She has been doing gymnastics since she was 12 years old and competing since she was 14 and now she is Xcel Gold. Her favorite things to do outside of gymnastics include reading and baking. Her favorite thing about gymnastics is that she gets to do what she loves with her friends and create memories that will be with her for years to come.
Gymnastic Instructor – Jr Staff
Keira D. is 16 years old. She goes to Independence High school, where she is a varsity Cheerleader and participates in Track and Field. She started gymnastics when she was 3 years old. This is her 13th year doing gymnastics. She is currently a USA level 9. She loves gymnastics and loves teaching others. This gym has become her second family.
